Prepare to embark on a luxurious 10-day Painting Safari to Sabi Sands and Kruger National Park in South Africa with Michael Shane Neal, world renowned artists to be your mentor and guide. This amazing, all-inclusive retreat has been specifically created for a small group looking to improve their skills and experience one of the world's most celebrated wildlife areas. The daily itinerary consists of game drives, painting models or beautiful landscapes, and gathering inspiration for further studio work.

Michael Shane Neal
Michael Shane Neal is a portrait artist who has completed over 500 commissioned portraits of notable figures, such as former President George H.W. Bush and actor Morgan Freeman. He has received numerous awards and is the chairman of the Portrait Society of America board. Neal has also served on the boards of various organizations and is a member of several art clubs. He enjoys church and community outreach, golf, plein-air painting, travel, and reading, with a particular interest in history.
Neal's work has been exhibited in galleries and museums across the United States, including the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C.
In addition to his portrait work, he is also an accomplished landscape painter and has won awards for his figurative paintings. Neal is known for his attention to detail and ability to capture his subjects' essence in his work.

Itinerary
Aug 1
JOHANNESBURG
Arrive at Johannesburg International Airport. Check-in at your overnight Hotel for a good night's sleep before boarding a short flight to the Kruger National Park area in the bush.
Aug 2
KAPAMA GAME RESERVE
Take a short flight from Johannesburg Airport to Hoedspruit airport and transferred to your first Game Reserve Kapama. Enjoy a relaxing dip in the pool or a spa treatment. We will have a heartwarming welcome before setting off on a sunset game drive together as a agroup and enjoy a welcome dinner together immediately following the safari.
Aug 3
KAPAMA GAME RESERVE
Enjoy Coffee before venturing out on an early morning game drive as a group, followed by a hearty breakfast at the Lodge. In the afternoon, Michael Shane will present a painting demonstration before we set off on an evening game drive.
We will enjoy dinner as a group at the lodge following the safari.
Aug 4
KAPAMA GAME RESERVE
Kapama's legendary game drives and guided bush walks allow guests to explore diverse landscapes and prolific wildlife.
You will have twice-daily game drives (all game drives included).
Between game drives, there will be a group paint session with Michael Shane,
a sunset safari and a group dinner together.
Aug 5
KAPAMA GAME RESERVE
Start your day early with another morning safari. Michael Shane will give a demonstration after the game drive, following breakfast and help students as they paint in the afternoon.
During the evening safari, sundowners will be scheduled at a place in the bush where the magnificent African sunset can be enjoyed. We will continue with ashort night drive with spotlights turned on in the search for some of Africa's nocturnal animals.
Aug 6
ULUSABA PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
After having a last game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred to the beautiful Ulusaba Private Game Reserve, a member of Virgin Limited Edition's award-winning collection of retreats, is Sir Richer Branson's safari lodge located
in the Western sector of the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve. We will stop along the way to take photographs or sketch the landscape.
You can enjoy balance of the day to get settled in your room and relay. After a sunset group safari, we will enjoy a lovely group dinner served at the lodge.
Aug 7
ULUSABA PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
We will venture out early, morning safari together. After breakfast, join Michael Shane for a group painting session, including a demonstration. We will have an evening Safari and enjoy the magnificent sunset in the bush, followed by a group dinner at the lodge.
Aug 8
ULUSABA PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
Anyone who's been on safari before knows that no two game drives are ever the same! You'll traverse over 13,500 hectares of private reserve with your dedicated Ranger and Tracker, who will tailor your game drive just for you. Between morning and afternoon Safari game drives, Michael Shane will paint together with all of the artists either a portrait or a landscape.

ULUSABA PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
This will be your last day on Ulusaba, Enjoy the beautiful and exiting game drives as they will leave you with the best memories for years to come.
Michael Shane will critique your work and give you one on one attention today.
Aug 10
JOHANNESBURG
Enjoy one final breakfast together before your transfer to Skukuza Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. You will be transferred from the airport to your hotel for the last special night. We will have an elegant final dinner.
Aug 11
JOHANNESBURG
Check out and time to fly home.
